How the absolute fuck can the AfD justify opposing LGBTQ+ rights?

The AfD lives from contradictions. Their politics are the worst for poor people among the bigger parties, yet poor people are their main voter base. They claim they are patriots, yet they have one Russian or Chinese spy/finance affair after another. They want to deport all immigrants, yet they are uncomfortably popular among voters of Turkish descent. They oppose queer rights and hate foreigners, yet their leader is a lesbian woman married to a Sri Lankan woman, living in Switzerland with their children. They hate the left, but claim that Hitler was a communist.

"Western civilization" is a dogwhistle, and doesn't actually represent the West, since that would mean supporting liberalism. AfD is an illiberal movement. The Nazis claimed to be socialists, too - reactionaries lie, what's new?

Some of the citations are in German, so if you don't read German you might have to use Google Translate or another tool to confirm these things for yourself. Just wanted to provide some evidence for the claim that AfD is illiberal, since they claim to be an economically liberal, conservative movement.

The problem lies within the question. Nobody needs to justify anything. Politics is a fight to bend the public opinion of "right" and "wrong". As such, even if something is plainly wrong, like this, it doesn't matter. All they have to do is make enough vermin believe their story.

Or make enough people believe yours.
