Is it because the strength of the arch is diminished by the crease? Or because it could channel a falling sharp object into rather than away from one's skull?
9 0 ReplyThat was my first thought. The only way this could be somewhat safe is if the hat aesthetic was a flimsy facade and would crumple at the slightest pressure, and underneath the facade was an actual hard hat.
