Are there any communities on Lemmy for learning languages? French specifically
I’m hoping for something similar to /r/learnfrench. If not, how can I create one?
While we talk in the backstage about creating a French learning community on jlailu, you can start with our magical word. Explained by an American girl on YouTube: https://youtu.be/GSeaDQ6sPs0

Welcome. :)
There is also !belgique@jlai.lu and soon
!suisse@jlai.lu
You can create one on jlai.lu 😍👍 but mind there is a bug with the report system.
The !forumlibre@jlai.lu is the most active place we discuss on everything as long its not about politic or sad news. Book, movie, cool pic :)
2 0 ReplyI’m on board if we find something.
1 0 ReplyIt's not specifically about learning French, but if you're interested in browsing some French posts the most active instance is jlai.lu
9 0 ReplyThanks Blaze. OP you can come to our forum libre, there’s a daily post where you can try to write a little French every morning (CET time zone).
Or simply create a post for asking your questions.

Yeah, but the ones you'll have access to are pretty dead:
!languagelearning@lemmy.world
!languagelearning@sopuli.xyz
!french@lemmy.worldThe most active is on hexbear, which I think your instance is defed'd from
!languagelearning@hexbear.netIf you don't want to resurrect an existing community, you can create new ones by accessing Lemmy with a browser (not an app), and clicking 'Create Community' at the top of the screen.
8 0 ReplySeems also bit dead, but there is !french@sopuli.xyz
