Year alright... As a pop os kde user it's frustrating as hell. They're holding up the entire 24.04 release in alpha for a desktop I don't want and will not use.
- What keeps you on Pop_OS if you're using KDE?

- Don't they normally delay against Ubuntu by a year...?
They are rewriting so much stuff. Why the media player? Are VLC and mpv not enough? Text editor, file manager, screenshot tool, terminal, ... couldn't that all have gone into other stuff?

  A video player is probably the easiest app to implement because it's based on the iced video player widget. It's just a matter of porting it to COSMIC. And there's no reason not to add a video player to the core lineup if it can be done. Every OS has a default system video player.
- As much as I'm excited for COSMIC I'm a bit bothered by this too.
Can we have virtio support please?
