I honestly don’t like the music to wicked, historically. Badly mixed and annoying to me.
I really enjoyed this movie, especially as it seemed to not be insanely bluscreeded and they seemed to trust the performers more than any other modern movie musicals beyond in the heights and tick tick boom (both LMM ventures). I hope the Disney driven, hyper-autotuned crap goes away as a result.
Quick question to those who have seen it: Is it enjoyable if you're not the biggest fan of musicals (and even sometimes annoyed by them)?
Yes. I am not a musical fan, though there are some I like. It was really good. The only song I found particularly difficult at all was the opening song because I couldn't understand what Ariana Grande's character was saying as she sang. Other than that I could follow everything though.
All I know about this Musical is they had to recall collectible dolls for it because they got the website url wrong.
