So on my slow burn savegame, I reached enough hearts with my beloved Haley to dance with her at the Flowerdance Festival! That was cool. actually all of her events are super nice and cute, she may appear like a jerk at first but is actually lovely (and now my girlfriend).
I've continued my savegame through mid Summer now, with a small barn and small coup, raking in the doug with animal products.
I don’t remember if I mentioned it here but two mods I really like are: Project Danger Weather and Weather Wonders.
Both change up the weather and can provide extra effects such as minor injuries during exceptionally heavy blizzards or slowly drain stamina during heat waves.
I'm about to start a new playthrough.
Haven't played in ~2 years and I'm still completely in the dark what the last update brought do I'm kinda exited to play and just see where this goes :)
Also I never really saw the endgame, mostly stopped playing at around midgame so I kinda wanna commit to that this time :)
I haven’t played in a very long time. I originally bought it on the Switch and was somewhere in year 3 when I last played, but haven’t played since. The rest of the family is on the Switch more than me now. I’ve bought it on computer but haven’t gotten back into it.
Got through year 2, and managed to get 4 candles on Grandpa's evaluation, and last in-game day I managed to fix Willy's boat and finish up my greenhouse setup. It feels like I'm getting close to putting the farm on autopilot. It is the best feeling to run out of strawberries to plant because you were sure you bought enough last year and your farm just grew too much. Still haven't reached floor 100 in the Skull Caverns, though.
I have yet to catch the Legend in year 1. For all the legendary fish, I get frustrated when I lose the fish, especially after all the anticipatory "okay, I'm ready to catc - oh, a carp...". I can do it easily enough with the iridium pole and the bobber that lengthens your catch area, or a +3 fishing buff.
But trying to get my fishing skill to level 10, enough money for fishing supplies, and have a rainy day just really screws up my chances of progressing in the rest of the game during the spring. Anyone got any suggestions?
If you're trying to catch all legendaries in year 1, make fishing your early game money maker, and you should level up really fast. Fish mostly in the mountain lake as largemouth bass is more profitable than the others.
Use Stardew Predictor to check for weather days near the end of the Spring. You'll need those.
Worst hypothesis if you can't catch it in Spring, then rush towards Ginger Island, since magic bait allows you to fish it regardless of season.
Started a new run last week to check out the new stuff in the update. I finally have enough cash to consider the booksellers wares. Anybody have tips on books that were better than expected, or were disappointing?
