Guys, what did you buy during the Steam autumn sale?
I went ahead and bought a bunch of indie games, picked up Darkchaser, Oxygen Not Included, and UFO50, and also grabbed Cities: Skylines. Got used to the launch prices of some AAA games, buying these discounted low-priced games really doesn't hurt much.
I already played Haven on GamePass a few years ago, but I wanted to own it because it's very good (also to support the developers). As for Talos, I played the original twice and absolutely loved it, so I'm eager to play the sequel.
The only thing I care about on the store right now is the factorio dlc, and that's never gonna go on sale. I'll probably buy that once I finish all the achievements for satisfactory.
FF7 Remake. I tried a "demo" and have been waiting for a sale. It's still more than I'd like to spend on the game, but I want to go back and continue my saved game.
Haven't bought yet but I'm thinking of getting Old School Rally. I played a few racing games that looked just like this when I was a child so the visuals are giving me intense nostalgia
I got a steam deck last spring, before that I've not done any gaming since I had a PS2 so I've got a good twenty years of games to catch up on. It's a bit frustrating how crap I am at gaming, particularly with shooters. I'm trying some different things to try and figure out what I'm into. I recently finished bioshock, so I just bought bioshock infinite. Also alien isolation, Alan wake, resident evil, and Uncharted legacy of thieves collection. I don't get a lot of screen time but I'll find time to try em out and see what grabs me.
Made sure to only buy some Indies.
As I wanna make sure in the future as well.
While I aint moneybags but more stable than the start od the year.
I wanna make sure I buy one indie game a month when in able to.
I will probably buy Horizon Forbidden West for my son. Told him to wait until it is discounted. But 40 € is still very much the full price of many other games. And we already bought all the Christmas presents this year. Decisions decisions.
At least I've still got a few more days to decide.
I really wanted to try Starfield but can't justify the price. Like I want to buy it, but I also don't have that kind of money to spend. Might start asking around my local friends to see if any of them have it so I can library share with them
I got all the cheap classics I had been playing with an eyepatch and a peg leg years ago. I'm especially excited about Magicka 2 to play with friends. My nephew is gonna love them!
UFO 50, In Other Waters, Planet of Lana, The Last Game, Genome Guardian, La-Mulana 2, Stacklands DLC...And a steam deck. I decided to finally get the deck before we might get tariffs and UFO 50 was my main purchase for handheld play.
Lastly, I really enjoyed Moonring during this sale period but that is available for free. Thought I should give it some cred despite not fitting your prompt.
Mainly Banishers Ghosts of New Eden. I don't have much money at the moment due to almost 4 months of unemployment, just got a new job and with my first paycheck from 4 days of work I got that, plus the new humble bundle, a couple coloring packs cause I like the pixel coloring books, and a couple games that were $2-3 each: a zelda clone called Blossom Tales, The Snow Fable: Mystery of the Flame (I also like hidden object adventure games), a lovecraftian 2d platformer called The Last Case of Benedict Fox, and adventure game version of Sherlock Holmes: Hound of the Baskervilles and a Wipeout clone called Flashout 3.
I‘m considering getting Sizeable and the collection of all the games the Hook guy has made - so basically a buncha puzzle games. I‘m also looking at Psychonauts 2 and the „new“ NFS cause both are five bucks so I‘m like what the hell why not. And Hotline Miami 2, I‘m in the mood for some senseless violence. To top it off, Streets of Rogue and The Messenger. All of it together would come in at exactly 29.99 for me lol
There‘s other games I want more, but they‘re all still more expensive (or close to) than this whole bundle so it‘s not really worth it IMO considering the amount of games I still got anyway.
I picked up Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, I think that's really all I'm going to pickup honestly. Already have a fair bit in my backlog, and there's nothing else in my wishlist that makes me go "I want to play that right now" that can't just wait for another sale.
Nothing yet. Currently having Slime Rancher and Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood in my cart. Wondering if buying games right now is even worth it with PoE2 coming next friday lol
