Kevin Parker, from Tame Impala, has announced a neat new instrument called Orchid. It’s a chord machine, but one with some added bells and whistles.

Wouldn't have looked out of place on the enterprise, nifty little thing by the sounds of it.
There’s so many cool music related instruments that I wish I could find a use for. I will keep admiring them from afar.
