French Europe minister Benjamin Haddad said he organised the gathering in Brussels with his Dutch counterpart to tackle a resurgence in anti-Semitic violence since the start of the war in Gaza.
"I wanted us to have... a frank conversation about the causes of the rise in antisemitism and the best ways to address it and really make it a priority for the European institutions," Haddad told French news agency AFP.
Its a mystery for everyone...
Dutch officials said Israeli fans were targeted in "hit-and-run" attacks by men on scooters on 7 November, after a Europa League match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and local team Ajax.
Tensions were high before the match after Israeli fans chanted anti-Arab slogans, vandalised a taxi and burnt a Palestinian flag in Amsterdam's main square, according to police reports.
Speaking after the talks, Haddad said however that Europe was witnessing "one of the worst outbreaks of antisemitism" since World War II.
Ah yes, let those zionist do whatever the fuck they want and then pull the anti-semitism card when People react to those acts of violence.

"When we talk about anti-Semitism, it is not just the defence of European Jewish communities that is at stake, it is the preservation... of our fundamental values," he said.

It’s so annoying because there has been a small but noticeable rise in anti-semetism, which can probably be explained by the fact Israel is literally commiting human rights abuses which border on the definition of genocide, in fact, they probably fit it.
But instead of focusing on the genocide, and on the small increase in actual anti-semetism, these people are somehow focusing on the anti-zionism (which is completely justified in the current situation) and conflating it with anti-semetism.
It’s not anti-semetic to think we should grant palestinian statehood, ideally giving the whole of Jerusalem back to Palestinians.
There's nothing "probably" about it. Even the UN says it is genocide.

Has there been a ruling, as far as I know it’s currently alleged. From the evidence it seems pretty likely, but it would be wrong to say anything has been concluded.
It is a convenient cover to deflect them blame of antisemitism, which is an European invention and concept for the most part, as well as it is alive and well in "white" Europeans.
By shifting the blame to Arab and other immigrants and anti-imperialist leftists this serves to further the rise of the far right, while downplaying their antisemitism.
A Jewish professor who opposes the recent "anti-antisemitism" resolution in Germany put it very well. He noted that the resolution does not refer to the most obvious antisemitic crime in Germany of the past years. An attempted massacre at a Synagogue in Halle by a Neo-Nazi. Instead it mentions the least clear "antisemitic" event, the description of Israel as an apartheid state, by the Israeli and Palestinian directors of the documentary "No Other Land" at the Berlinale 2023.
So literal Neo-Nazis trying to slaughter Jews seems to not be relevant to mention for the German lawmakers as antisemitism, while calling Israel an apartheid state apparently is an attack on all Jews for these lawmakers. Jews are once again used as a bargaining chip for nationalist politics.
Agreed mostly, but I think you’re going much too far by saying anti-semetism is non-existent in non-european places.
There are countless historical examples proving otherwise, that don’t conflate anti-zionism and anti-semitism.
