Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez asked for the stories of people who split their ballots between Donald Trump and either her or another downballot Democrat. Here’s what they said.
TL;DR: more brain-dead fools who, at their core, genuinely do care about the working class but are too stupid to see the mountain of evidence to show that Trump’s “love” for the working class is as real as unicorn farts. Others also want “change” even if that change is them going from having rights to not having rights, and a few are the worthless protest voters as well.
I honestly still don’t get it, but I don’t have the level of brainrot of these people so maybe that’s a good thing.

Misinformation is ample & fully aware "the impressionables" get targeted on social media... but unless they've been living on a different planet they're fully aware of Trump's history. His felony convictions alone were global news.
Not to mention the fact that democrats/liberals have consistently failed to counter message against this propaganda or even acknowledge the issues that face americans.
I said that years ago but times change. The nonsense they need to convince themselves of is absolutely wild and it must take a herculian daily effort on their part to maintain their collective insanity if we decide to say they aren’t stupid.
So much of what they hear should qualify as the moment they went “hey, wait a second” but they just keep on going deeper and deeper. They are fools and everyone else needs to deal with that.

Many of Trump supporters just want their lives to get better. They may be incapable of identifying that Trump is a charlatan, but they aren't incapable of seeing someone like Bernie Sanders and realizing he genuinely has their best interests in mind. They may be deluded in thinking the Republican party represents their interest, but they are correct in identifying that the democrats represent corporate interests.
Don't get me wrong, many of these people are xenophobic and republican ideology exploits and feeds that.
My point is that many these people can be swayed and will vote for a candidate like Bernie Sanders or AOC. Someone who actually has their best interests in mind. Someone who, like Bernie Sanders, promises to fight against corporate interests, promises health care for everyone, and promises a livable wage. Most of all, someone who acknowledges that shit is fucked up right now and needs to change. Harris' campaign did none of that.
The democratic/liberal strategy of "Trump is a fascist, vote for us" will never work. It didn't work in 2016 and it didn't work in 2024. Making fun of Trumpers is not an effective strategy for achieving progress, it's counter productive. You are signalling to them that you like things the way they are and that you don't give a shit about their material needs. You're confirming their belief that liberals are out of touch elites (which honestly I agree with).
If democrats/liberals want to win in 2028 they need to stop this shit ASAP. Stop wallowing in your bubble making yourself feel better by shitting on Trump supporters and start pressuring the democratic party to fucking get their shit together. All you're doing is reinforcing in yourself the idea that democrats are good and that anyone who doesn't vote for them is a racists moron. You're blinding yourself to what's actually happening.

TBH there's not much real difference between any of these politicians worldwide. They're all working together within a violent system of control to serve capital. Even if some politician seems ok, they'll be working with a fascist when the tide turns. Just look at genocide joe congratulating trump and inviting him over for dinner.
