Hardcore off-grid in a Manhattan apartment

A bit too hardcore for me, but can't fault his conviction.

Strange, I can't get the link to open. If I just click the link, (Firefox on Linux) it says "SSL_ERROR_INTERNAL_ERROR_ALERT". However, when I revert to http:// instead of https://, it loads a page saying:
Invalid url! /t/K2Wj4
Can anyone else tell - does it open for you?
- Also Firefox on Linux, it loaded for me.

Nearly every day for the past 30 months, Mr. Spodek has lugged solar panels and a 17-pound battery up and down 11 flights of stairs to his roof to charge them.
Ok, that's commitment. I guess I should stop complaining about my crappy house and feeling that I am stuck on the grid. I at least have backyard and front yards.
This dude is just crazy enough to be my hero. I am legit going to change up some things because of this find. Thank you OP!
