Mattel, the toy company behind Barbie and Hot Wheels, is developing a feature film about the stereoscopic image device View-Master.
Logline (probably): When two teenage siblings find an antique ViewMaster from their Grandmother's basement, they discover that it can transport the user into various worlds, both real and magical.
I know you're right and that's probably what the movie is but it would be a lot funnier if they instead just ripped off John Carpenter's They Live. Put on the ViewMaster to see the truth kids!

If they have an interesting angle for the film it could be good, like The Lego Movie or Barbie. No idea what that could be though.
This seems more like the Trolls or Emoji movies for the basic subject matter.
but far worse than even those! at least those have faces
Maybe some plot based on a true story that focuses on the impact of the toy, à la Tetris (2023)?
