Alberta MLA comparing transgender students to poop welcomed back by UCP

Jennifer Johnson, Lacombe-Ponoka legislature member, has been welcomed back into the United Conservative Party (UCP).

Johnson was banned in 2023 over comments where she compared the issue of transgender students in Alberta's schools to baking cookies with feces inside.

“We can be top three per cent but that little bit of poop is what wrecks it,” Johnson said in audio from a 2022 talk at the Western Unity Group in Stettler.

“This is more than a teaspoon of poop in the cookie batch, right?"

What a terrible representative of the people.
- After she got the boot from the UCP party for her comments, she was elected as an independent.
  She is a true representative of the shit-cookie lovin' people.
  Despite the comments, Johnson was elected in May as an independent member.

Why can’t these “freedom” types leave well enough alone?
I just don’t get how you can be all in on liberty and take the time to focus on how other people are living their life “wrong” in a way that impacts literally zero other people in any way.
Trans rights are human rights. We live in a colourful world that no amount of squinting will turn black and white.
Ironically, her analogy works way better for her own party than it does for whatever she's trying to say.
With a little bit of insider knowledge here, the caucus were threatened by Danielle Smith to kick out anyone that voted against it so it had to be unanimous. There are a lot of pissed off MLAs that were 100% against bringing this shitbird back into the fold.
