It is my firm belief that, if the state ever had to kill me, I'd fight for a firing squad.
Theoretically, the injection thing would be best. But considering those things get administered by absolute idiots, a firing squad is probably better.
Nitrogen asphyxiation is supposed to be a not-horrible way to go but there's no way most countries that have/allow capital punishment can be arsed to provide for "good deaths" for those condemned to death.
