the fact its a musical buried this film
38 0 ReplyThe only good musicals (where people start singing for no reason) that I actually love are Blues Brothers and Monty Python's Holly Grail.
I'd watch it if it was a heavy dark drama. A musical? I think not.
19 0 ReplyThe southpark movie was pretty good too
19 0 ReplyThat was the first musical I ever liked. I did like Sweeny Todd too

have to agree. i was kinda looking forward to it.. but a musical? gad. no. the worst episodes of my favorite shows are when they thought it would be cute to make them musicals.
17 0 ReplyIt's Always Sunny in Philadelphia did a fine musical. It's one of their best episodes.
13 0 Replyif youre referring to the nightman; i would argue that they put on a musical within the show. the episode itself was not a musical.
the other episode that is a musical is not one i particularly enjoy

Imo the scrubs episode where the patient views the world as a musical is pretty good, but you're right it's far from being one of the best episodes.

I thought this was a bad joke. Turns out, it's the movie that's the bad joke.

I have a feeling this was done on purpose... The regime didn't like how the first movie resoanted a little too much with the plebs for their comfort.
So they made a movie to alienate the core audience. But that's just some tinfoil.
3 0 ReplyOh........ First film was great but.....a musical. ffs
3 0 ReplyFirst film was a great film if it were new IP, but a shit joker batman film. The second film was always likely to be shit, because they were always going for abstract and avant garde artistry without a clear connection to the underlying and far stronger story and IP people are expecting. I'm sure it's a beautiful film and musical, but it's dog shit attached to joker.
1 0 ReplyThe thing is, the first one wasn't a new IP. I was literally The King of Comedy and Taxi Driver smashed together.

Seriously, after the first film this is as far from what you'd expect, and want from a sequel.
I'll definitely pass on this as well.
2 0 ReplyWith Lady Gaga, no less. They added a music person for the musical.
It seems that the suits have misunderstood their target audience get again.
