Sydney's car-brained candidate for Mayor
Sydney's car-brained candidate for Mayor
Isn't it supposed to be "fewer" anyway?
163 0 ReplyWe had some winners in my city a few years ago.
Here's my favorite quote from that article:
“The money is in the car,” Comrie insists. “Who’s the spender? Does a bicyclist go and buy sporting goods, or furniture, or clothing? Or are they just out for a ride?”
Does this guy think cyclists are sitting naked in empty apartments wishing they had clothes and furniture? Luckily he did not win the election.

102 0 ReplyLess bike lanes
100% he's going to make that happen
and cheaper parking
0% he's going to make that happen
Free market, bitches! Prices. Only. Go. Up!
60 0 ReplyIs that a Tram in the background ?
47 0 ReplyOh look, another old white man with stupid ideas
44 0 Replygood news. car brained loser is sitting on 3.36%.

i wish this would be seen as a vindication for active transport... but we all know the anti bike blow hards wont miss a beat.
edit: big fucking lol. dont think they will get a single council seat.
42 0 Reply“Fewer” since they are countable.
ETA this is basic grammar and not something you can just take exception with because you feel like it. The responses I’m receiving are very odd.
37 0 ReplyGod please no, Sydney actually has viable public transport compared to something like the US.
There's so many cool JDM type stuff there probably because enthusiasts keep cars around the city.
I'd much rather be able to see all the slick WRXs and Evos while walking than having to drive a crapbox into Sydney.
27 0 ReplyBut he's posing in front of a tram? Make it make sense!
26 0 ReplyFewer*
25 0 ReplyI guess regardless of country, people pushing shit like this can't seem to make a natural looking facial expression. Its like they try to replicate what happy people look like to them in order to get the response they see others receive but the best they can do is the trail leading into the uncanny valley
24 0 ReplyDickhead.
21 0 ReplyThe candidate for rich people who resent poor people.
19 0 ReplyThat just means more cyclists on the roads.
That will just make people like him angrier. Good
18 0 ReplyYou need to carry a marker and draw devils horns whenever you see his poster. Colouring in the QR code to make it not work is a bonus too.
18 0 ReplyProbably owns a few parking lots.
18 0 ReplyHe has fewer brains than his opponent.
14 0 ReplyUnsurprisingly, a former candidate for the Liberal (conservative) party: https://web.archive.org/web/20220518064350/https://cityofsydneyliberals.webflow.io/candidate/sam-danieli
Perhaps he was too crazy even for them.
13 0 ReplyMeanwhile, if successful, they'd probably complain about traffic and blame it on cyclists being slow in the car lanes
13 0 ReplyThe poster BEFORE ripping it off ;)
11 0 ReplyI pledge to do absolutely nothing about parking prices, but will try to slow down the cycle lane projects
11 0 ReplyNosferatu needs to lay off the blood of the innocent for a bit - he's clearly over-indulged.
Being less evil would be nice, but we can only reasonably expect so much.
6 0 ReplyI wonder if they ever caught the frisbee thrower who whipped that L-brand disc at the lady's head just as the photo was taken.
5 0 ReplyI have to drive a van every day for work, but even I find this repulsive.
3 0 Reply1hr commute both ways to work
2 0 ReplyJFC
2 0 ReplyGross.
