Some parts of south Asia actually do use a six season model. You've got the four you're familiar with plus monsoon season between summer and autumn and one other one either at the start or end of winter depending on the specific system
It's very good if you like city builders with RTS elements. There's no combat in it at all, it's just you and your villagers against the storm, hence the title. It has a lot of challenge missions and an overall story so the replayability is quite good.
What are the RTS elements if not combat? Is it more "macro" level stuff like resource collection/ building/ tech?
I'll definitely pick it up if that's more what it's about. I love RTS formats, but going back to starcraft style micro is way too much for me nowadays.
I dig city builders regardless though, and the roguelike aspect seems neat.
I don't play games to get in the mood for a season, but I've noticed the last couple of years that I'm likely to play some games a lot more in certain seasons!
I tend to associate stardew valley with winter. I like the decorations the most and the music is very nice. Reminds you of all the work during the other seasons and let’s you breath in and plan for next year.
