Well they've had a kind, down-to-earth president for a while. Time to bring in an absolute shithead for a change.
If we're going to be running minor celebrities for the Irish presidency, the only real choice is Blindboy Boatclub.

I know nothing about Ireland politics. But is it me that's jaded or this looks like puppet president?
- Well, he certainly would be whether he realised it or not - if by that you mean easily manipulated by outside interests (like musk and god knows who else)
  
  I think Musk is another puppet when it comes to X (SpaceX, Tesla and Neuralink not necessarily IMO). It's interesting how the message of both is "I'll make world easier by reducing number of people and processes". And it seems such language gets following
- President is a largely ceremonial role, the Taoiseach is the head of government and the decision making position.
