So, ya know when you have a ton of media files, all the photos, videos, design files etc. and your computer turns into a maze, and you can't find the damn exit? After smashing my head on the keyboard enough times attempting to find that one clip, I decided to go DIY and build something myself. That's how WrangleBot was born.
WrangleBot is this open-source media asset management app I've been beating into shape for a while. I've been living off coffee and enthusiasm trying to make this baby work - and I am all out of coffee. The idea is to give you a hand managing your digital junkyard, so you can find, sort, and use your stuff easier.
The app's about as tried-and-tested as I can make it, but I need some more real-world guinea pigs to add to our herd of 250. That's where you guys come in. You can download and test it from wranglebot.io. Got an idea to improve it? Cool, I’m all ears. Not to mention, bugs can be not-so-cute sometimes. So, if you stumble upon any, hit me up in our Discord Channel: https://discord.gg/sNC4KT8x
Oh, and since it's open-source, if you're as crazy about coding as I am, feel free to jump in and contribute. It takes a village to raise an app, right?
I’m hoping WrangleBot can make your digital life a little less "where's Waldo?", a little more "oh, there he is!"
That's it from my end folks, eager to hear your thoughts and can't wait to see where this journey takes us.
As of right now, WrangleBot is still in development. This means that there are some limitations to what WrangleBot can do.
These limitations are as follows:
WrangleBot Cloud Sync does not yet utilize end-to-end encryption to protect your data, but uses TLS-Encryption to communicate and send data between you and the cloud sync servers. This means that your data is encrypted while it is in transit, but not while it is stored on the cloud sync servers.
We are committed to addressing these limitations and implementing new features as soon as possible. We are also committed to protecting your data and privacy. We will never sell your data to third parties, and we will never use your data for any other purpose than to provide you with the best possible experience with WrangleBot. Please review our data privacy policy here for more information.
Anyway, this looks interesting regardless. There seems to be an offline mode, so I assume this is selfhostable? What’s the backend of AI here? And are both the bot and the AI part self-hostable?
"One click tag over 1.500 objects, famous european landmarks "
Where do you get the landmark data from, can it do more than european? For example I was looking at Open Street Map's API where I could get the nearest landmark to given coordinates so I could script the gps data from pictures into a landmark.
