Massachusetts health officials will spray pesticides to address mosquito-borne illness

State health officials say a man in his 80s caught the mosquito-borne eastern equine encephalitis, the first human case found in Massachusetts since 2020. Officials announced Monday that they would spray pesticides in Worcester and Plymouth counties to address the elevated risk.
