I despise Republicans so much. Bro your candidate is a rapist insurrectionist who spent all day in the White House watching TV. Now he's using Twitter's AI to make fake images of himself being popular.
Glad being called "weird" is enraging them this bad, though.
I'm really sick of the age thing when it comes to gaming. Tons of middle-aged and older men spend hours watching sportsball every week, but nobody gives them shit.
I don't find that anecdote weird, but I do find searching through the life events of some politician to find things to signify that he's weird to be creepy and fucking weird.
But that's par for the course for you, Chuckie, you fucking balloon headed weirdo. Get a real job you mutant potato.
That is quite the laboured attempt at insulting Walz. Like the worst thing you can say about him is that he, like so many humans, got hooked on a video game? You're really not finding anything on this guy, Republicans, you fucking weirdos.
I'd say the story shows more character than anything.
Meaning "This politician sometimes knows how to realize when they're obsessed with something and will take steps to make sure they back off of it".
I like when politicians have functioning frontal lobes and can self-moderate. Usually it makes them far less extremist, or likely to be extreme in their viewpoints.
Tinyface McGhee is trying to dictate who is weird? Talk about pure deflection. That clown is basically in a villain group for talentless weirdos (along with Ben Shapiro, Candace Owens, Tomi Lahren, Matt Walsh, and Steven Chowder).
And after all the weird shit Kirk and company have pushed over the years, they are gonna have to do a lot better than Walz being hooked on playing a games console.
Bumping up on 50 here. I'll be playing something or other before bed tonight, maybe PC maybe PS5... who knows, but it will be fun... and it will actually be IN BED... and in the background will probably be the DNC nomination acceptance speech. It isn't weird, it is relatable...
Also, if he was playing Soulcalibur on Dreamcast then who can blame him. That was one of the few games my attention span actually pushed through from start to finish.
I've never been a GQ model, but I've not yet understood how someone who literally looks like Butthead has become such a focus. I feel like I missed out on being a pundit.
Are they weirded out that he didn't beat her like a conservative man would if his wife did that? And are they going to pretend there aren't countless women fed up with their manchildren conservative husbands?
(I don't remember how the rest of the copypasta goes, because I'm a leftist video game enjoyer and try to distance myself from Gamers®.)
That said this probably won't go anywhere. In the Gamergate days the right wingers kept outright insulting Gamers® and the Gamers® just did some mental gymnastics. Political literacy among Gamers® has gone to even deeper depths since.
Wow, the propagandists have fucking nothing huh? Seeing the bots and troll nets flounder like this is pathetic and fun to watch. Money down the drain for the fascist. You love to see it.
I love how they keep trying "no u" as their attempt to counter the weird label democrats have put on the MAGA crowd.
Seems to be working great for them.
I get what they were going for considering I've known certain people who have been so addicted to specific games that they've ruined their lives but I don't think Walz is in that crowd. He's still married, looks like he's a great father who's involved with his kids and is a more responsible and active politician than 90% of those in politics.
It's such a poor jab. Besides gaming being this mainstream hobby that everyone partakes of these days, there's also the fact that even if he was irresponsible, the youngest two of the voting generations would vibe with it. I know people who overspend their money or ignore reality entirely because they feel helpless. It's a symptom of a problem.
Bro, if the Dreamcast taught me anything it's that the world would be threatened by giant lizards anally pleasuring themselves via death-laser equipped space colonies far less often if we could get political figures capable of telling Sonic from Shadow.
Tim Walz has my support. Prevent Biolizards from threatening the planet!
I once heard someone arguing a similar thing back around 2010, and we already thought it was an odd thing to say. Why, yes, grown people do play video games, and certain mechanics are addictive no matter how old you are.
I'm sure like many, my 'X' feed has felt injected with right wing posts since Elon took over. Just maybe two or three days ago, I noticed a new trend of posts it was serving to me. This whole weird new trough of posts has been super alpha male vibes and 'hot' women shaming men for playing video games. I legit wonder if this story has anything to do with why that's being targeted at me, a very casual gamer, now.
It's so funny to me that Charlie Kirk made his entrance on college campuses, and despite still being dedicated to representing college Republicans, is overwhelmingly most popular with boomers.
So he ends up saying boomer shit like this, deriding video games as disqualifying behavior for a politician...
They attacked cat ladies, grandmas, the swifties, and now gamers. Are they going to attack the Palestinians and the undecided movement (some more) just to be sure?
Conservatives appearantly are trying to appeal to the crusty vampires who peaked in the 60's and think Pong is too new school to be trifled with voting block...
FWIW, the genisis game out in 1989 in the US. he would have been 25. So. like. if he was playing the console a decade after it released.... he'd have been 35....
All it's ever used for is the odd Quake 3 game; for people to play Metropolis Street Racer on it when they ask what console it is; and serving as a reminder that I really need to set a week aside for playing Shenmue III.
If you want the anime crowd to hate the republicans, then remind them which party made (and which former vice president helped to author it) the PROTECT Act (the law that put loli/shota into a legally gray area, as it's still subject to the Miller test).
Honestly? The idea that his wife had to pull a mom move on him? Yeah, a little bit weird to me.
I'd like to say that's because I have enough self-control to not get that far-gone, but it's probably more that my wife is more likely to join me, rather than stop me.
This is weird tho aside from context. 35olds should have some semblance of grasp on life generally or at least pretend cause no woman wants to be nanny in relship.
