As someone who typically watches YouTube on a phone or mobile device, a bump in 480p bitrate would be far more useful. I used to be fine with 480p for basically any content, and 720p was higher resolution than I needed. But they have cut the bitrate so much at this point, that outside of talking head content just turns into such a blocky mess that even on a small phone screen it's borderline unwatchable.
