Ich schreibe so da ich ne Englische Tastatur habe.
Warum ich nicht auf Deutsch umschalte? Ich benutze Dvorak und Englisches Dvorak ist anders als Deutsches Dvorak was ich mir nie angeeignet habe da ich vielleicht 5% meiner Texte in Deutsch schreibe, 93% in Englisch und dann den rest Schwedisch. Wobei Svorak sehr aehnlich dem Englischen Dvorak ist so dass ich da umschalte. Manchmal benutze ich Svorak um zumindest ä und ö im Deutschen zu schreiben, aber ue und ss gibt es da nicht.
Ich hab schon mal versucht Svorak umzuschreiben so dass es ue und ss mit drauf hat, aber nach ein paar tagen versuchen hab ich es nicht hinbekommen dass es in GNOME als Auswahl auftaucht und dann habe ich es aufgegeben.
Das gleiche was mit den Leuten ist die "..." statt "…" schreiben, oder denen das Versal-ß (ẞ) fehlt
ein kaputtes Tastatur-Layout halt!
Und da ist Windoof ganz weit vorn das möglichst zu erschweren. Z.B. sitze ich gerade wieder an einem Notebook mit eingebauter, schweizer Tastatur. Sowohl ẞ als auch … werden da echt schwer zu tippen - und dabei hab ich mir inzwischen schon gemerkt welche Zahlenkombi ich mit Alt-Gr für … tippen muss. Aber ohne Nummernblock wird auch das schwer.
Selbst mit Tastatur die ich zwischen amerikanischer und deutscher Belegung umstellen kann mit einem Hotkey kommt das schon mal vor, vor allem wenn zwischen mehreren Fenstern wechselt. Die amerikanische Tastatur ist halt für die Anwendung auf der Shell oder zur Programmierung deutlich besser weil nützliche Zeichen dort liegen wo die deutsche die ganzen Umlaute hin packt und man also nicht ständig die Finger verrenken muss um z.B. eckige und geschweifte Klammern zu schreiben. Außerdem sind die Layouts für Hotkeys in der Regel für die amerikanische Tastatur designed.
Klar, lass mich eben kurz so eine Exoten-Option auf den Dutzenden von Servern konfigurieren die ich verwalte damit du kein ae, oe, ue,... mehr sehen musst.
Wie wäre es wenn wir statt dessen einfach die Umlaute und das ß abschaffen und uns die volkswirtschaftlichen Kosten dieses Sonderwegs einfach mal sparen.
Wenn man programmiert ist Englisches kblayout praktischer, weil alle relevanten Sonderzeichen sofort erreichbar sind. Bei deutschem kblayout muss man teilweise noch Ctrl oder alt-gr drücken wie ein wildes Tier...
Ich lebe in Japan und hab dementsprechend nur ne Japanische Tastatur.
