That looks rancid
55 0 ReplyIt looks like blue cheese but for hamburgers
19 0 ReplyAnd might be if that display case is just room temp all day.

Not gonna lie, I'd totally try that
31 0 ReplyMincemeat can be meat ground up with dried fruit so this isn't too bad. It's the blue color that's off-putting.
I'd probably try it if it were bison or venison.
29 0 ReplyOh yeah, bison blueberry maple would probably be really good, I can see that.
13 0 ReplyBetter with pork than beef.

Berries and meat are a good combination
20 0 ReplyDid a black bear post this?
13 0 ReplyProbably would taste fine but the visual component is unsettling.

Folks that are oblivious to the fact they like sweet and savory.
18 0 ReplySweet and savory clash horribly. I will never understand why anybody wants to put syrup in or on their meat. Syrup is great on pancakes, but leave it off the bacon, sausage, and now apparently burgers.
5 0 ReplyYou dont like bbq meats?
15 0 ReplySweet and savory clash horribly. I will never understand why anybody wants to put syrup in or on their meat.
Because their palate developed.
Sweet and savory clash horribly.
Not everyone's does, sadly.
9 0 ReplyWell you can not enjoy it and the rest of us will greatly enjoy all the various sweet and savory foods like apple pork chops or teriyaki ... Anything. Or various bbq foods. Honey glazed ham? Like, this isn't even an unusual thing.
4 0 ReplySomebody's never had chicken and waffles.
3 0 ReplyIt caramelizes on the grill, just like the sugar in BBQ sauce and gives you that char yet tasty flavour

Great to make a blue waffle burger!
17 0 Reply"Shit, boss, we forgot to load these beef patties into the fridge! They've been sitting out here for like a week!"
"Wait, I have an idea..."
13 0 ReplyAs a colorblind meat eater, Thank you for the temperature warning. The blue would probably mess with my understanding of how done the meat is.
As for the other comments saying it looks rancid... wish I had that awareness for meat color lol
11 0 ReplyOne of the primary uses for color vision is to tell the freshness of food. That's actually true of smell and taste as well. Amazing how much evolution has had to spend on "can I eat this?".
8 0 ReplyI think if I lost smell and taste due to the times I ended up with covid...i would have lost my mind.

WTF. Sounds disgusting.
8 0 Replyfor a sec there i thought that was mold
7 0 ReplyHow would you know if there was? 🤢
4 0 ReplyTook me a whole minute of going back and forth between the sign and the patty in disbelief before I figured out it wasn't mold.

Why would they do this vs putting the maple blueberries in a sauce or buns.
6 0 ReplyIt doesnt look great but ive had blue berries mixed into sausage and it waa really good.
4 0 ReplyThat's a fucking travesty.
4 0 ReplyWhen I first saw it I was put off, but thinking about it once you cook it it will probably look less rotten and taste pretty good.
3 0 ReplyBlueberries don’t make this kind of colour, so this is food dye.
2 0 ReplyIt is likely the blue skins ground in and not just the reddish juice stain

You should definitely heat it up to the suggested temp to make sure you kill whatever the blue shit is.
2 0 ReplyBlueberry if the sign is to be believed.
3 0 ReplyThat's precisely the joke. Distrusts that it's blueberries and instead suggests it might be something else. Like gobs of mold.
