after some internetting, very interesting but it never saw service. 'flail' style mine sweepers ended up being the better design.

The weight of the various roller designs was pretty crazy. Sometimes 20 or 30 tons, which basically doubled the weight. That poor Sherman engine.

You'd need some serious balls to drive the mine exploder tanks....you'd come out twitching like a chihuahua
I think a guy down the street has those exact same wheels on his Chevy Impala.
