Great PR piece for COP28 which will be held in Dubai and chaired by the CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company!
Luckily, there haven't been any documented instances of the UAE trying to greenwash their image by hosting this conference.
The UAE also has a large propaganda wing dedicated to cleaning up their image on Reddit. While I moderated some eco communities there, I banned dozens of their sockpuppet accounts that were posting greenwashed articles about them. It never ended.
Luckily this user is not one such sockpuppet, but it is important to look out for them.
Oh that's fun and by fun I mean not all fun :(
Plus the fact that they've been serving so much meat and dairy up until now is telling too about other industries' influence too
