- Same, bought xm4 two weeks ago. Mostly because xm5 case is kinda big and the features itself doesn't have much difference
- XM4 are in some market a lot cheaper.
All I want is to be able to MANUALLY switch betweeny conncected multipoint inputs. It's infuriating that this isn't possible.
- Isn't that possible in the app? I've changed it manually multiple times with the wf-1000xm4s
  
  Let's say I have two connectione, one to my TV and one to my phone. There is afaik no way to manually tell the app/the headphones which input to use without disconnecting from one of the sources.
So, like, this only works when you watch videos on your phone? Who wants immersive audio on a six inch screen?
Better still, Sony is no longer making WH-1000XM5 owners choose between multipoint and LDAC
No WH-1000XM4? :(
But still no way to mute the microphone from the headset!
Sony is a shit company with long track record of treating their customers like garbage.
- Would you mind elaborating? Are we talking in the headphones space or more generally?
  
  More generally. Their terrible reaction to the psn hack, following hacks, bad security, worse PR, PI leaks, denial and retaliatory behavior were a discussing thing to follow and a warning to stay away from the whole corp. They show no sign of care about their clients and no morality.
- Unfortunately they're the only consumer brand that balances good audio and tech
  Customer support can be much better, their live chat is essentially a hoax
