What's this random plant growing in my garden?

I didn't plant it (intentionally) but it's definitely more than a weed. I'm letting it grow just to see what it wants to grow up to be.

- Agree, looks like a sunflower to me. For OP: do you or one of your neighbors have a bird feeder? We have black oil sunflowers coming up in all kinds of random spots because of our feeders.

- Checks out. I grew a monster sunflower a few times, but not last year.
