What are some privacy respecting alrernatives to Google Workspace? I want to have my own custom email domain.
Please no self hosting or stuff of that nature I don't have the time to deal with that.
Nextcloud! It replaces almost everything you know from the Google Workspace with privacy in mind. Just sign up and pick any hoster. https://nextcloud.com/
As for email. You have to install the mail app from the built in App Store and you can connect as many emails as you want. It works the same way like any other email client on your phone or PC.
Nextcloud is great. It has AI features, too! Didn’t test these but overall, Nextcloud is a great product for everyone. Remember, however, that you need to use your own hardware to host your server, otherwise you don‘t have any privacy. You should absolutely take all the steps to check system integrity and harden your server. Not only once, but regularly.
Zoho Workspace?
I’ve heard some good things about https://www.fastmail.com/, was planning to give it a try at some point. It is not a full fledged replacement for Google Workspace sadly though.
