I use this Android benchmark website whenever a sibling asks me, "what phone should I get?"
It's not a precise comparison. (In fact, it rates different carrier software running the same LG G710 phone hardware as anything from 7,000 to 8,000.) And it reminds you of its imprecision several times.
But some phones made today benchmark like they're seven years old. And the site helps you avoid those egregious cases.

The name is pretty self-explanatory, but even if you don't know the exact program you're looking for, the search tool can find you programs based on a description like, "photo editor" or "markdown editor."
It's one of the first places I go when looking for software. Especially open source software.

Cool, I'll give the rest a look. I also use osalt.com to find similar programs or apps.
Ah not really a link, but a request. I used to know a website where you could look at an apple product line and see when it was due for a refresh so that you could make a decision to wait or buy used. I bloody can't remember the site and Google searches are pointless for any keywords like apple refresh and product. The site was not "the verge".
This sounds like the MacRumors buyer's guide. It lists an advisory for whether to buy or not and gives time since product release as well as average time between releases.

I've made a few thousand dollars on some of the paid survey apps. That's useful to me! It's tedious as can be but Qmee, Attapoll, Survey Spin, and Leger opinion have paid me about 3K in the last year and a half. I have bought myself many pairs of shoes and two new coats and a ton of other stuff.
