for real, I'm pro trans rights and I still sometimes accidentally deadname Elliot Page because I have dyscalculia. if you ban me for that aren't you being ableist?
also yes context is very important.
if I say "when Caitlyn went by the name [X], and she used [Y] pronoun, [Z] thing happened to [Y]", I assume I will still get banned for deadnaming even though I'm innocently adding clarity to a conversation.
to make things worse, if someone is trans and gender fluid, and I call them by a name or pronoun they used last time I knew about them, now I've committed a crime of which I had no knowledge.
this blanket condemnation of deadnaming is just dumb. it requires nuance.

My gay uncle is a Log Cabin, Reagan Republican who has almost fully embraced MAGA.
Including saying Ukraine was asking for Russia to come... and that Finland is actively provoking Russia so they should deal with that... while our family literally has Finnish friends, in Finland. Like we literally have first hand real world knowledge from Finnish citizens, not filtered through any news media, and he just ignores it in favor of the MAGA shit.
It really is remarkable.

I mean this with all respect as a fellow human who has to deal with such bullshit from those we assume deserve respect and continued deference: it's not remarkable, and the sooner we stop remarking on it, the sooner they go back to yelling at their own backyards.

So someone made up a rumor that this Sophia person was dating Jenner. Sophia publicly and transphobically denied this. Sophia is a known member of a transphobic group associated with the Republican party.
