I'm sure the ad companies love it but it's pretty funny. Reminds me of when Animal Crossing and Doom released on the same day. There were lots of memes of Doom Guy tending to his village and Isabelle ripping and tearing demons.
I really wish there was an official crossover of those series.

I'm disappointed that the official Barbie soundtrack does NOT contain Barbie Girl.
The movie is produced by Mattel, and they don't like that song. They feel it disparages their product.
The song during the credits samples it tho. I think the band is even credited as co-writers
