The Israeli military invited journalists, including NBC News, to view footage of the Oct. 7 terror attack. The IDF also released Hamas video of the attack on the Supernova music festival exclusively to NBC News. NBC News’ Raf Sanchez describes some of what he saw in the 46 minutes of raw footage.
Why anyone would defend these people is beyond me call me a genocider cause I support my homeland and my religion I don't care .
The oct 7 attacks were vile and indefensible, people believe the israeli response to be disproportionally violent though. Me sitting in my western country don't have enough info to really pass judgement though. Expect downvotes.
Israels actions can be considered disproportionate and really really bad and Hamas can at the same time be considered to be a terrorist organisation that execute terrorist attacks against civilians.
One bad thing doesn't automatically cancel out another bad thing.
Grown-ups knows that two things can be considered bad at the same time.
By that logic Israel should be using nuclear weapons. After all, they “have the ability” and “anything less” would put their citizens at unnecessary risk.
This is MAD style thinking. If there is a great filter in civilization development it's absolutely related to following hateful and destructive paths like the one you suggest.
Why anyone would defend these people is beyond me call me a genocider cause I support my homeland and my religion I don't care .
Cool.
Just to clarify, I support a number of principals but if one of those principals became closely associated with genocide I would care. The fact that you can embrace the cost of genocide should be a fucking wake up call when Isreal itself was born out of a genocide committed on the Jewish people - if Isreal was a third party to what is happening I'd expect them to stand against it due to the empathy of having suffered the same... the fact that Isreal is a first party and you can openly embrace genocide is a clear signal you've lost the fucking thread. What you consider your homeland is also another people's homeland, a people that cohabitated with your people before being forced onto reservations - and if you think your religion is under threat, you're only accurate to the extent that it is being associated with Netanyahu and his government is burning every bridge they can find.
I think you're absolutely correct in spirit, but I do want to correct the myth that Israel was created because of the Holocaust. Israel as a concept started in the late 1800s and early Zionists were discussing plans to ethnic cleanse Palestine in the 1930s, long before the Holocaust.
Israel, Zionism and genocide are peas in a pod. The connection to the Holocaust is revisionist history.
