Is there a Block-All For New Instances out of Lemmy.World?
Is there a Block-All For New Instances out of Lemmy.World?
Fairly tired of the lemmy.world crowd and their.. interesting moderation style.
Lemmy hasn't implemented instance blocks yet, so here is my question:
Any scripted way to block-all for the LW bot-fest?
Is there any consideration of a de-federation with LW?
Or is the entire point of a more anarchy-leaning instance to have 0 moderation db0?
Fine with either outcome/method; just sick of going through every single community any time they spin up a new neolib/cia shithole.

But it has since version 19.0.
Under user settings -> blocks there is a "block instance" card next to the user and community card.

Bless you.
Thank you so much, you don't know how much this has helped my sanity.
13 0 ReplyDoes this not block user comments? I still see comments from blocked instances.
3 0 ReplyI've never actually blocked an instance, so I don't know.
2 0 ReplyIt does not. It only blocks the posts on communities in those instances.

The answer to block instances has been provided. But just for the record, this instance is not about no moderation, ergo our extensive rules on the sidebar
11 0 ReplyWell then I would then highly recommend you all consider the defed from the bot-fest
Only thing it will do will pull their users over here because LW is still sour on piracy (gotta keep up the price of 1%ers assets, after all)

Out of curiosity, you have an account on both hexbear and here and hexbear is also defederated from l.w. Is this like a secondary account to reach more instances or is it your primary one?
9 0 ReplyPrior to instance bans I use/used all of my accounts because none of you get along.
I have a LW, Lemmy.ml, hex, db0, etc.
Esp when certain instances ban anything to the left of "maybe we shouldn't hunt the poor for sport?” as " bot" activity
4 0 ReplyWe seem to get along with most instances actually :)
