[IMPROVISED POLE] should this community stay NSFW?

Hyia!,

Silly little thing.

I specified this community as NSFW because of the subject matter but considering that there shouldn't be any explicit pictures shared here and harmreduction advice is generally nothing inappropriate, I am considering turning NSFW off, incase a post contains explicit pictures It should than be label so individually.

  1. keep community labeled NSFW
  2. turn NSFW mode off

Upvote the corrosponding comment of mine below, going to probablly call this in approximately 24 hours and later on delete this post.

Feel free to discuss below aswell!

Also this is ofc overruled incase the site administrators disagree with the results!

Lots of love, Xea

    • Leave it nsfw.

Remember bluelight forum. If the information here is useful, it will be widely seen. The small hurdle of marking it as nsfw such at least stands a chance of quieting any dissent of its existence.

      • ooo, good point!

although I would tought that having such a space would be a unpopular thing on a queer lemmy instance.

I brought this up because somebody made me aware that they had to disable their NSFW filter (because they don't want to see porn), to access this community

        • Also, i have more trans "friends" who are into harder substances than not. So, its a fantastic idea and I plan on contributing my own past experiences and any knowledge I have that can help.

          • hihi~ yeah I thought that I wasn't the only one :'), wonderful! thank you so much!, any contributions would be greatly appreciated! <3

        • Its a slight inconvenience, yes, but blocking porn communites specifically is also an option. Personally, I'd say until lemmy offers a nsfw-np tag, then keeping the information and community slightly out of the way is the best option.

Keep backups in separate places of what is posted here. I know that I've sent people to information I knew for a fact was on bluelight forum, only for it to be gone, even with google-fu.

    • Keep it NSFW
