There already is a limit - it's called an election.
Edit: It seems to me that people just don't care enough about democracy and they want to blame the government for their poor choices. This is stupid and a distraction from issues that matter. Issues that we should be voting about. 75% of people should stop being lazy Americans and vote. Also, we've gotta keep pushing for Ranked Choice Voting. THIS would solve the problem of ineffective politicians more so than taking rights away from (dumb and lazy) voters.

So the idea is to use laws to limit the choice of voters? For what reason are you restricting choice by law?
Electing more people like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Josh Hawley. That will fix it, right?
Voters are not rational, and they're irrational in predictable ways. One of them is an insanely strong preference for incumbents over anyone else. It's a really easy flaw to fix in a way that has no bias against particular parties or political views.
How is this "flaw" the fault of a person taking another trip around the sun?

Ranked choice voting would solve a number of problems without affecting either party. Why aren't we asking voters how they feel about that? Why do most voters not even know what this is?If you can't see the problem with politicians staying in office for decades, and staying past the point where they can actually do their jobs, I can't explain it to you.
What I have a very real problem with is people re-electing politicians who are clearly unfit to do their jobs. This has nothing at all to do with a person's age. What you've defined above is a concern with Term Limits more so than an Age Limits. That's a different conversation but I would fully support term limits.

All of lemmy would disgree with you. But, you are right. Instead of voting for the right candidates, they like to blame the "system" and admit defeat. That way, they don't have to take any responsibility and keep blaming "them". It is not far from voter suppression.
The system blows you know it and I know it. Now it's just a matter of whose blowing you to say otherwise.
