Do I need to know who this Steven is to understand this comic?
I know that this is Steven Universe, and I don't really understand the comic.
Its a caricature of the episode where Steven watches Pearl dream. Steven has nightmares of Lapis and Pearl has nightmares of Steven's dad. This appears to be a gruesome reimagining of the episode.
for additional context, Pearl had a crush on Steven's mom, the curly-haired woman in her dream, and has trouble letting go of the fact that Steven's mom chose the dad over her.
