President Trump used his bully pulpit to warn America’s businesses about raising prices due to tariffs.

On April 29, after Amazon reportedly considered displaying an additional tariff charge next to the listed price on its Haul platform, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt at a press briefing held up a photo of Amazon chairman Jeff Bezos and called the move a “hostile and political act.” Trump, whom a senior official described as “pissed,” called Bezos to complain, saying the company’s founder “solved the problem very quickly.”
Amazon said that although it was considering displaying the tariff cost, the plan was ultimately not approved and “not going to happen.”

So....the choices are pay the price or pay the price. Seems legit and very stable and super smart.
Also, didn't Target, Walmart, Home Depot, and Lowes all tell him this was going to happen, like 2 months ago?
He did a Walmart call out on his hate network the other day because they stated they were going to need to start raising prices. He publicly told them they make Billions and should just eat the tariffs and can afford to not do any markups for consumers.
I know Trump has zero idea how the economy or even a business works, but watching him telling a large donor and it's shareholders to forget about capitalism and take a loss on everything they sell so that consumers can afford them was chef's kiss. He is so in over his head at this point I don't see a way he able to keep the sharade going without it all crashing down.
