One of my favorite little bits of internet history!
Hehe, every new tech community goes through that, when it stops being mostly autistic people and becomes mainstream. We pave the way to make sure it's safe. Then go hide in our little place of that community and wait for "the next thing" that isn't good enough for normal people yet.
Autistic people? You mean nerds?
In the sense that a venn diagram of "nerds" and people with Autism is nearly a circle, yes.
i might have been part of the problem back then 😄, i was in school 1994 when i got my first email and Internet interactions
I fondly remember the time on the net before that.
