  • I would buy one, were it not for 2 major problems:

    • There's no way it's going to cost $20k with the Trump tariffs in place
    • Slate Auto, the reportedly Jeff Bezos-backed electric vehicle startup - yeah... I'm not giving my money to fucking Bezos.
    • Exactly my two issues.

      I was so excited for a split second. I'm tired of every damn EV starting over $50k because they have to cram in every stupid feature dreamed up in the marketing department, but Bezos? Fuck that guy.

      • The one EV I would have bought is the Kalashnikov CV-1. The fact that it was just a concept car, and from Russia, were a bit of a problem. But as square wild-looking electric cars go, I would have sprung for that one.
