Has anyone been watching or following the WCA World Championships?
I've only seen the new WRs on WCA live and read the whole Yiheng drama on Reddit.
Tommy Cherry got the 3BLD WR average (14.15) and Hill Pong got the 5BLD WR single (2:18.78) Excited to see the videos!
I wasn't aware of the drama. Maybe I'm stupid or out of touch I didn't realize these kids have (professional?) coaches. I guess that makes sense for the best of the best.
I don't know much about Yiheng's mom so I don't want to comment there, but it's a tough loss for him so I hope he's okay. He's still so young. I'm sure he's a future world champion.
I didn’t even know the championships were taking place. But once again, another 3 WR, and a lot of CR / NR.
Max Park was close to broke the 6x6x6 single in addition to breaking the average.
They are all truly amazing.
