How come Republicans and the Gov of Florida holding up hurricane relief just for political points while their voters are suffering?

The republicans are doing their typical thing where they block money from getting to people in need so that they can score political brownie points with smooth brain voters. This is now translating to them harassing FEMA folks that are simply there to provide help.

I live in Florida (bailing ASAP) and I wish nothing but a slow death for DeSantis and his asshole cronies.
