My poor wee dog has gone completely deaf over the last week, and now he'll never again hear me tell him he's a good boy 😭

I feel you. We had a dog and a cat both lose their hearing. It was tough, ngl. We think we mitigated some of it by giving them extra cuddles and attention. The hardest part was adjusting our actions so that we didn’t unnecessarily surprise them while they were looking away or asleep.
