Are you asking this on an Android app where people discuss news and share it?
I mean I am looking for app that only does this with no other functionality.
Could you not, say, just subscribe to a news community and keep your settings to “local” so it only displayed that?
That is very inefficient compared to just having a whole app with only this functionality.
this is basically as if someone was asking for an app that only records 5 seconds of a video... and the camera app, that can do everything is "inefficient".
let that sink in for a moment.
I think having a single app that does that would be very inefficient compared to having an app like the one you're probably using, that can be configured to do exactly what you want.
If you're worried about inefficiency then why the fuck bother using apps when the websites work fine in mobile browsers? I use this site and it works better than any fucking app
Inefficient how? Battery life, storage space, ram, processor cycles?
- Create new Lemmy account.
- Subscribe to news communities only.
- Download alternate Lemmy app or clone your current one somehow (i.e work profile).
- Use second lemmy app with new lemmy account only for news.
- Profit?
