I'm poor, I dabble. I don't want to pay a monthly fee, so I'm wondering, what's your favorite free art generator or free tier from a commercial one?

If you have a somewhat recent NVIDIA gpu, running Automatic1111 locally on your machine is amazing. You get to tweak pretty much every parameter you want to, upscale as much as your vram allows, and the only cost is electricity. Also, the all the different plugins available for it.
Second this. It's a bit of a pain to get running on NixOS but it feels so good to have everything running on your own machine
