the original software on which this is based is still around. you need to patch it yourself these days, but its not to hard to find a prepatched version on something like https://appdb.to
it works pretty well, you may need to change some A/B flags to get sponsorblock to work and the home and subscription feeds are buggy as hell, but at least it blocks the ads, for now.
Except as you said yourself and I have also noticed it’s buggy as hell and only going to get worse.
Someone uploaded Enhanced which fixes (nearly) all of the bugs to https://archive.org/details/uYouEnhanced_19.21.2_3.0.4.
yeah, for me its perfectly usable atm but i do worry for the future, especially with all the moves youtube has been making to kill off adblocking. i’ll honestly just stop watching for the most part at that point.

That doesn't matter. What matters was ongoing support and updates which are now gone after YouTube inevitably breaks uYou.
This is also why Nintendo killed yuzu. Future support

No but it also hasn't been updated so it's likely bunk in terms of usabily. I also saw that the original uYou IPA was pulled at google request so this is likely Google continuing to follow up with "enforcement" of that request
It is being updated. They just don’t provide releases anymore because that is what gets repos taken down. You have to build it yourself

That has a lot less features, unfortunately. Like Enhanced recently added a copy video to timestamp. Enhanced just has more active development
oh, i tried using it once and it just didnt work as well unfortunately, so i’ve always stuck to uYou+
though now i cant lol cause eeveeSpotify (which is totally amazing btw!) uses so many extensions it exceeds the limit together with altstore. ill probably disable the extensions and see if that works whenever i can
