I don't imagine theres much room in the WA electorate to vote further to the 'left' than Labor. But still, a couple more Greens, or even Teals, could really help push the WA government faster down the path they're already slow walking down.
Also gas companies pay shit-all royalties for what they're getting, so why do them any favours!? I don't understand why they have such a large presence in policy decisions in this state.

I reckon thats right, but i can't see where the money is coming in.
Maybe just political party donations. The media keeps on finding its super cheap to buy influence with Aus pollies. Maybe its that simple.
Politicians are so cheap. You see local councillors approving dodgy developments that net the building company millions being bought off by promises of a few thousand dollars worth of community donations to make the councillor look good for the next election (and of course whatever ends up in a brown paper bag).

bribe"fund" with a rounding error on their profits?One of the issues is there are so few eyes on these lower government people. Like @LongMacToppedUp said, we're basically a 'one paper' state.
Even then, so many people are willing to undercut business dealing rules for their own gain, with a wink and a nod. It seems to be in our culture, not just a few poor actors in high positions.
We are also a "one paper" state. Guess who owns that media and what pies they have their fingers in.
And the Labor party have been so freakin cosy with Stokes. I increasingly get the old 'WA inc' vibes from both major parties here. Roll on thrid party, and independents dilution.
