What's a bit of good advice that's really bad advice?

3 0 ReplyBut it's objectively bad advice for plenty of people. Depending on the career or hobby, Linux software is not as good (performance, support, or feature wise) as software running on Windows or Mac.
I understand why people evangelize Linux (and I use it plenty at home), but it's far from acceptable for plenty of use cases.

when can it be bad?
2 0 ReplyWhen we already know linux is available (as everybody on these forums knows) but for valid reasons it is not an option in our particular situation.
