I was told that when we got to the cyberpunk dystopia, we will have flying cars!?!
Where's my goddamn flying car!?!
37 0 ReplyNOTE: The only "flying cars" in the Bladerunner movies are either police vehicles or belonging to a megacorporation. Rarely, if ever, do you see a commoner with a "flying car" in most pieces of Cyberpunk.

1 0 ReplyThat wasn't cyberpunk. Even though it did have an evil megacorporation, it lands primarily in the Sci-Fi fantasy category.
PS: Love The 5th Element.

electricflying car Bruce??”6 0 ReplyEvery time I hear about flying cars I keep thinking back to this onion video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hGjl3zcJMk
5 0 ReplyYou can order them here. That's the ones that are in production. A few more are underway.
They cost a few 100k. You need a piloting license. These either need a runway or have limited range. Nice expensive toys but not that practical.
5 0 ReplyThey're more "planes that drive" than "cars that fly"
4 0 ReplyThat's what you get when physics matters.
But the XPeng X3 might interest you. It's also a bit like as transformer. It's not for sale tho, but they have a remote controlled prototype.

We have flying cars. They're call helicopters and are extremely difficult to pilot.
