In order to control matter like this, you have to consciously command each and every atom on what new position it would take. In practice, you might be able to make some interesting designs visible with an electron microscope. But anything macroscopic? You would die of old age before you could command even 1% of 1% of the atoms to take on their new form.
You can only manipulate one particle at a time.
